WNYs Preeminent Life Care Community is seeking a compassionate and highly motivated Cultural and Performing Arts Assistant to join our Cultural Arts department in , NY. This is a part time position, 22.5 hours a week. The schedule for this position will be as follows:
Tuesdays (1pm - 9pm) Wednesdays (1pm - 5pm) (1) weekend day shift per month (12pm - 5pm) (2) weekend evening shifts per month (5pm - 10pm) Weekdays can be flexible to meet applicant's needs.
Qualified candidates will support Canterbury Woods' mission and CQI vision by planning, organizing, and carrying out Cultural Arts programs within the Performing Arts Center and independent living campus.
In coordination with the Cultural Arts team and Performing Arts Center, all programming will be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. Established policies and procedures will be followed to assure that on-going programs are designed collaboratively with residents to create a friendly and stimulating environment.
Job tasks include: - House manage the Performing Arts Center for scheduled shows. - Manage ticket sales. - Communicate effectively with aging in place residents. - Coordinate with residents on campus for monthly scheduled programs.
Cultural and Performing Arts Assistant Qualifications: - Must have at least 2 years experience in organizing, planning, promoting, and some theatre knowledge. - Must have at least 2 years experience working with a geriatric population and/or community arts knowledge. - Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
