The College is looking for exceptional colleagues to join the MVCC community. We are seeking a part- time OSHA Instructor for our Center for Corporate and Community Education (CCED). The Instructor will provide an OSHA-10 hour and OSHA-30 hour safety course instruction for certification to training locations in the Mohawk Valley community.
Key responsibilities for this position include:
Delivers curriculum in accordance with up to date OSHA standards; Instructs and tests students on OSHA standards; Verifies and submits OSHA training results for certification approval; Interacts with a diverse group of students and community partners in a professional manner; Other related duties as assigned by CCED personnel. Required Qualifications:
Associate degree (or a minimum of 60 completed college credits) Possession of a current New York State certification to teach General Industry OSHA-10 and OSHA-30 by completing OSHA course #511 and #501 or possession of a current New York State certification to teach Construction Industry OSHA-10 and OSHA-30 by completing OSHA course #510 and #500 One (1) year of experience teaching OSHA classes in New York State Valid drivers license at the time of appointment and throughout the duration of employment or ability to travel to off site locations for training programs Preferred Qualifications:
Current New York State certification to teach both General Industry and Construction Industry OSHA-10 and OSHA-30 Minimum of three (3) years of experience teaching OSHA classes in New York State Special Instructions to Applicants: Please provide a copy of New York State certification to teach General Industry OSHA-10 and OSHA-30 with application materials.
