Arts & Sciences is seeking a part-time instructor to teach one section of QSX 112
Sexualities, Genders, Bodies (3 credits) during the spring 2025 semester. This is the second of two core courses for the LGBT Studies minor.
QSX 112 explores how lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender sexualities, genders, and embodiment are understood across communities and through time, with an interdisciplinary analysis of literature, film, mass media, web sites, research, and theory.
Resources are available to support the instructor as they design their version of the course (e.g., sample syllabi, mentors).
This course meets biweekly and enrolls about 55-60 students. The part-time faculty is responsible for lecturing for the entire class. The faculty is also responsible for facilitating a discussion section for half of the students enrolled. A Teaching Assistant (TA) assigned to the course is responsible for facilitating the remaining discussion session.
