A “culture rooted in safety” requires a clean environment. We need your help to make that happen. Are you able to help? Here’s what you’ll do;
mop, clean, buff & wax floors
wash corridors, stairs, stairwells, walls and partitions using various hand tools and detergents
scrub and clean all areas of lavatories, rooms, & facilities
move with care and purpose, and treat others that you meet while you work just as you want to be treated, and present yourself as a representative of SUNY Upstate in the best possible way
Minimum Qualifications:
be able to stand, stoop, bend, and stretch for long periods of time
have ability to climb ladders and safely handle all of the tools needed to do your job well
must understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Across our team we speak over 40 different languages, but you must understand all safety instructions presented in English
There is no educational requirement for these positions and there is no Civil Service exam
