DESCRIPTION Patient Registration Clerk- Emergency Department
Springville, NY
Part Time or Per Diem. Evenings/Nights Flex. Some day shifts. Weekend rotations required. (Must be available to work 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am on bi-weekly rotation. Must be available to pick up Day shifts as needed. )
$16.82 -$17.32 per hour with shift differential of $.80 and $1.00 based on shift. $500 Sign-On Bonus.
As the first person our patients meet at BCH Emergency Department, the Registration Clerk obtains and enters accurate patient details into our medical records system to be used by the hospital and physicians. Notify Emergency Department staff and other departments of a incoming patients as needed. Responsible for emergency code phone and announce emergencies via paging system. Collect necessary patient documentation, legal consents and authorization forms Prepares patient chart, identification bracelet. Enter data, complete and distribute all necessary patient charts, forms or reports. Works in an often fast paced high stress environment in cooperation with healthcare professionals. Required
HS diploma or GED Previous Medical Reception OR Medical Office experience Computer skills are required Strong communication skills are required Ability to succeed in a high stress environment and work cooperatively with others. Benefits (Part Time only) includes:
