This position(s) requires a responsible instructor capable of planning, implementing, instructing, assessing, and evaluating educational programs for Non-credit Community Education courses.

The Workforce Development & Community Education division offers a variety of NonĀ­ credit Community Education courses.

The individual is responsible for delivery of a course outline, syllabus, lectures, assessment materials, and materials related to the course. The course outline and/or syllabus will be provided to WFD&CE prior to the start of each class. WFD&CE has classrooms on our main campus and three satellite locations in Albany or in Schenectady. The instructor will assist students in achieving proficiency in their chosen course as well as provide feedback and evaluation. The instructor may be required to work with community funding and industry partners. This is a part time position.

Covers areas such as: Community Education courses such as those in the Community Archaeology Program, Kids and Teen Academy, Computer courses, Culinary, Music, Personal Enrichment, Professional/Career Training, Wellness and Fitness, etc.

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree or extensive experience in the course field

  • Previous experience in delivery of industry focused trainings, college level courses, and /or community education

  • Experience within a diverse classroom setting

  • Ability to demonstrate expertise in appropriate field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous teaching experience
