Proctors Collaborative Customer Service Agent in Schenectady, New York
JOB SUMMARY
Proctors Collaborative is the Capital District’s leading regional arts organization with performing arts venues in Albany, Schenectady and Saratoga, and education, civic engagement and economic development initiatives throughout the region. We’re changing expectations about how the arts serve a community.
We are currently seeking part-time Customer Service Agents (CSAs). They are the face of Proctors and are on the front line of patron care. CSAs are responsible for providing a gracious experience to all patrons which includes booking tickets, subscriptions, and completing any other customer service needs.
Proctors has standard hours and all venues are open prior to events. CSAs need to be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and some holidays and are required to travel to and work at all three venues, including Proctors in Schenectady, theREP in Albany and Universal Preservation Hall in Saratoga Springs.
Proctors Collaborative is a fully vaccinated environment for both patrons and staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
● Excellent customer service skills and respectful to all patrons
● Ability to handle cash and other payment methods responsibly and accurately
● Clear and thorough communication, both in-person and over the phone, to patrons of diverse backgrounds
● Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment
● Is dependable, responsible, self-motivated and able to work independently
● Initiative and effort to evaluate patron complaints and exercise judgment in the absence of management
● Ability to manage information, complete tasks and follow-up with patrons in a timely manner
● Is a team player who is able to work well with others in sometimes stressful environments
● Comfortable working with or willingness to learn Apple products and Microsoft Office (namely Outlook, Teams, Excel, etc.); experience with databasing a plus
● Professional demeanor and appearance during Box Office performance shifts
● Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and some holidays
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
CSAs must be able to stand for long periods of time.
