EAC Network, a not-for-profit social service agency that empowers, assists, and cares for over 62,888 people in need through 100 programs across Long Island and NYC, seeks a Teacher (Attorney) to work part time for its ERASE (Education Rehabilitation and Support Enforcement) program.
The Teacher (Attorney) position is a non-exempt position paying $50 per hour. The position is part time up to 3 hours per month.The office is located in Ronkonkoma, NY and the role reports to the Program Director.
Primary Purpose of Job:
To provide instructional services to the clients of the ERASE (Education Rehabilitation and Support Enforcement) program.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct three-hour lecture explaining legal rights and responsibilities to non-custodial parents.
Prepare and present appropriate handouts to respondents to help guide them through the child support system.
Monitor and report inappropriate classroom behavior and pertinent incidents to Supervision.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:
Jurist Doctorate required.
Minimum of two years experience in the legal services field required.
