Job Function:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for working at the service window assisting students with all registration and graduation-related questions.

  • Register students via phone, email and/or the dynamic form application.

  • Process drop/add transactions for students and/or faculty.

  • Process student-initiated withdrawals, including communication with necessary parties.

  • Review and maintain prerequisite and wait listing information for courses.

  • Process enrollment verifications.

  • Process transcript requests, including checking for student holds and assisting students to find alternate sections when courses are closed.

  • Responsible for entering data into the Banner computer system. Examples are, but not limited to: registration requests, drop/add data, course withdrawals, wait list registrations, name and address changes, verifications of enrollment and dual enrollment registration.

  • Participate in answering the ACD line, a telephone group where all calls in the office are answered equally by clerical staff.

  • These calls can be technical in nature and require staff to thoroughly understand registration policies and procedures and have a good understanding of College-wide policies.

  • Process College Now (formerly Dual Enrollment) registrations.

  • Process Workforce Development registrations.

  • Assist with the creation and updating of the master schedule including room schedules, auditing, etc.

  • Process course attendance.

  • Respond to student and faculty emails.

  • Process cross registration applications.

  • Assist with tasks associated with graduation services.

  • Responsible for additional tasks, as directed by the management staff of the Registration & Records Office.

    Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • Must currently hold the title of Office Clerk II OR be reachable on the Civil Service Eligibility list titled Office Clerk II OR meet the below minimum requirements for a provisional appointment, if offered;

  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:

  • (A) Graduation with an Associate's degree or successful completion of at least sixty (60) credit hours from a college or university; OR,

  • (B) Two (2) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent office clerical or secretarial experience*; OR,

  • (C) An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.

*Experience as a Teller, Cashier or Sales Clerk will not be considered appropriate experience for the purposes of these minimum qualifications.

Job Type: Full time

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:45a to 4:45p

Salary: $38,638.57 with step increment at 6 months
