University of Rochester Laboratory Technician I (S) in Rochester, New York

POSITION SUMMARY

This part-time position will be supervised by the principle investigator. The technician performs technical assignments, which are basic in complexity. Responsible for data base entry and maintaining exact and clear records. Responsible for weekly tasks related to basic lab maintenance and also is responsible for assisting other lab members with experiments when needed.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organization and general laboratory upkeep.

  • Interacts with various technical, staff and students.

  • Assisting senior laboratory staff as needed with ongoing experiments.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Punctuality and good attendance record.

  • Adherence to all University, Division and Department policies.

  • Adherence to all laboratory safety procedures.

  • Participated in laboratory meeting. .

. QUALIFICATIONS

High school graduation with courses in sciences and mathematics; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $ 15.00 - $ 19.86 Hourly

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
