Job Description:

Highland Hospital is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Clinical Faculty member to join our team for the Highland Learning and Career Center. This temporary position is funded by a grant from New York State and involves overseeing the education and training of healthcare staff who are simultaneously pursuing their education while working part-time. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical teaching, a passion for healthcare education, and the ability to mentor and guide students in both a simulation environment and through hands-on clinical experiences alongside preceptors.

PAY RANGE: $86,000 - $120,621

*The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

1. Education/Experience (minimum required) : Master’s degree in nursing required. Prefer masters concentration in nursing education. BSN degree required. Professional nursing certification preferred.

2. Experience: Five years of active, acute nursing experience; one or more years of relevant experience in educational planning/teaching.

3. License/Certification Required : Licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse in New York State; Certification as Nursing Professional Development Specialist preferred; AHA CPR BLS required. Instructor status for CPR BLS preferred. ACLS and/or PALS instructor preferred

4. Skills : Computer experience required. (Preferred experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail, internet search functions, multimedia presentation applications, document design applications and learning management systems)
