Job Corps has trained and educated over two million individuals since 1964.Oneonta Job Corps offers training in the Medical Trades: Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, and Medical Administrative Assistant. Automobile Trades: Auto Body Collision and Repair, Auto Mechanics, and Auto Technology. Construction Trades: Tile Setting, Cement Mason, and Electrical. Advanced Trades: Overhead Line Electrical, Rural Underground Distribution, SMART Meter, and Drone Piloting. Position Available: Substitute (Part-Time) Driver with CDL Passenger Endorsement. Position Schedule: Tuesday and Wednesday 7:30am-4:30pm, and on-call as needed                  In this position, you will:Be responsible for safely operating the Government Vehicles, to transport students to and from off-center appointments, and other destinations as assigned Check the condition of a vehicle's tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water, and safety equipment, to ensure that everything is in good working orderReport any bus malfunctions or needed repairs, and will comply with all traffic laws, and regulations Prepare and submit reports that may include the number of passengers or trips, hours worked, mileage, and/or fuel consumption   We are looking for someone with:Good working knowledge of basic vehicle operationDemonstrated knowledge of vehicle safety practicesExperience in inspection and maintenanceKnowledge of traffic and highway safety rules and regulations Strong attention to detailGood decision-making skillsThe ability to understand and carry out oral and written directionsEffective communication skills; both verbal and writtenThe ability to relate to studentsProficiency in the use of computer software such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
