Salary: $32,000/ year

Report Times: 9:30am - 6:00pm
Daily Hours: 8.5 (7.5 Paid)

Minimum Requirements:
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma plus one (1) year paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience as a bus driver, or clerical work in bus transportation activities.
Desired Qualifications:
Good knowledge of the coordination of a large fleet of buses; Ability to carry out simple oral and written instructions;
Ability to maintain good relations with the Drivers, Attendants and District Staff; Alertness and willingness to learn;
Strong interpersonal skills;
Good judgment, a team player and the ability to work flexible hours;
Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position; Familiar with computer applications (ex. Google Docs);
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines;
Effective communication and planning skills;
Ability to maintain confidentiality;
Demonstrates initiative and leadership abilities;
Must have a Class B Commercial Driver's License with a P and S Endorsement.
Position Summary/Responsibilities:
Assigns Drivers and Attendants to bus routes in accordance with the Union Contract;
Ensures that all Route Assignments are covered each day;
Dispatches vehicles according to the daily schedule and requirements of the assigned students;
Arranges schedules for the substitute Drivers and Attendants;
Communicates and responds effectively with Staff, Schools and Parents;
Assists the Payroll Department with time slips and payroll records;
Inputs Student Referrals and follows up with the Bus Staff and School Administration;
Attends Parent/Student Meetings at schools when necessary;
Checks Driver and Attendant Folders for updated information and directions;
Operates a Dispatch console and two-way radio speaking in a clear concise tone;
Substitutes as a Bus Driver when needed;
Assists with Driver and Attendant Training using 19A and SBDI Credentials;
Other duties as assigned.
