New York University Research Assistant/Coordinator in New York, New York

The Mindful Education Lab (MEL) at the NYU is seeking a research assistant to conduct research on meditation and mindfulness both on-line and in person.

Housed within the Metropolitan Center for Research on Equity and the Transformation of

We are seeking a part-time (20 hrs per week) to support our team in the following ways:

  • Teach online meditation classes

  • Design and administer surveys through qualtrics

  • Manage project data

  • Organize research meetings

  • Assist Directors in time-sensitive project-related reporting matters

  • Support MEL community

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology or Data Science or premed.

  • Experience teaching mediation/yoga

  • 2+ years working in a research lab, familiarity with IRB and Cayuse, experimental methods and surgery methods, statistics in SPSP, CITI training

  • Excellent organizational Skills

  • Excellent Leadership skills

  • Excellent communicator

  • Able to manage many projects at once

  • Positive attitude and willing to learn as the job progresses

  • Commitment to the wellbeing of others, especially from underserved populations
