JOB DESCRIPTION

Part-Time Help Desk Technician

The Part-Time Help Desk Technician responds to the College's Help Desk activities and performs a variety of complex tasks, including level 1 and level 2 Help Desk Support. The Help Desk Technicians are responsible to cover the Help Desk from 8AM - 8PM with staggering schedules; they are also critical in covering classroom support for both the School for Children and Graduate School classrooms. Reporting to the Infrastructure Communications Technologies (ICT) Manager, the PT Technician must function within the service-oriented culture of IT and, in particular, the Help Desk.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 3PM-7PM (minimum 20 hours/week)

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to Help Desk phone/tickets from problem-diagnosis through resolution and customer follow-up
  • Install/Support classroom technologies, Projectors, Eno and Smartboard, and other AV equipment
  • Support of Auditorium events, providing microphone and projector support during assembly and special events
  • Serve as support technician for Zoom sessions and Events
  • Maintain and repair computer/AV hardware and software, inventory and Asset tracking
  • Image, update and maintain PC/MAC computers
  • Support and maintain telecommunications infrastructure
  • Other projects and duties as requested by the ICT Manager

  • Education and/or Experience:

    Bachelor degree in computer science preferred, or a minimum of 2 or more years of related experience.

    Salary: $25/hour

    Minimum Salary: 25.00 Maximum Salary: 16 Salary Unit: Hourly
