The Director of Truist Wealth Center for Family Legacy leads the teammates within the Center for Family Legacy group who are nationally dispersed across the Truist footprint. Responsible for marketing, both internally and externally, all family office services including family governance and family education, enhanced reporting and expense management to our UHNW client families and facilitated family meetings and next gen education to our HNW client families.

The Center for Family Legacy works with Ultra High Net Worth and High Net Worth families as part of a multi-dimensional system with a multi-generational outlook, focused on growing all three forms of family capital: Financial; Human; and Intellectual. Center for Family Legacy partners with advisors in Wealth, relationship managers in CIG and CCB, and with the Strategic Client Group in the case of business transitions, in order to acquire new family clients and to deepen relationships with existing clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and execute national business plans for GenSpring Family Office Services. Manage financials for the GFOS business unit to ensure execute in accordance with the GFOS and Truist Wealth Strategic Plan, include establishing short term (1 year) and long term (3 year) strategies to meet and exceed Truist financial goals and grow each business in existing and new markets.

Lead a national dispersed across the footprint ensure the teammates are enabled and equipped to perform the essential duties effectively and efficiently including, but not limited to:

  • Market family office services, both internally and externally

  • Facilitate Family Meetings

  • Create intellectual content including White Papers, marketing collateral, learning programs, media articles and podcasts

  • Be the lead representative for Truist in national and local conferences and events as a content expert in multigenerational banking and family office services

  • Be a Subject matter expert in the competitive landscape in the Education and Governance space; Creative and thought leader to continuously improve product and solution suite to meet the needs of the Truist UHNW clients

Work closely with Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) Partners in Wealth and across all LOBs in Truist to ensure that the product/service offering of GFOS and Legal meet the needs of clients in CIG, CCB and Wealth, including corporate, commercial and not for profit. Build strong ties and relationships with heads of IRM partner channels, product team heads and other leaders in order to proactively deploy the capabilities of the Center for Family Legacy across Truist and support the IRM strategy

Attract, identify, hire and develop the Center for Family Legacy teammates that fit the team and Truist Wealth profile with a keen focus on diversity and inclusion

Develop, implement and oversee incentive plans that aligned with business objectives. Establish defined and measurable goals for the Center for Family Legacy

Responsible for delivering our purpose through visibility in the community and building a strong culture within the international line of business in turn providing an inclusive, team-oriented culture aligned with the Truist purpose, mission, and values

Responsible for all risk management and ensure all objectives with respect to credit, compliance and operational risk are met

Ensure that GFOS establish and maintain appropriate legal, operating and regulatory controls to manage risk and compliance. Participate as needed with Truist regulators and individual subsidiary regulators (such as the Securities & Exchange Commission) as a senior leadership representative for Truist Wealth.

Lead a culture of continuous improvement and operational executional excellence

The annual base salary for this position is $270,000 - $324,000

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree required

  2. 15 years of experience managing ultra-high net worth clients and their families with execution of an extensive variety of client transactions covering the full suite of wealth management solutions

  3. Proven ability to develop, nurture and monetize "trusted advisor" client relationships with senior executives

  4. Success in coaching and developing diverse and inclusive teams

  5. Proven track record in revenue generation and entrepreneurial nature

  6. Advanced analytical and technical skills combined with a problem solving attitude

  7. High EQ and empathy to seamlessly understand the client's needs and desires

  8. Excellent interpersonal style, good listening skills and the ability to communicate highly complex ideas clearly and concisely

  9. Strong partnering and leadership skills in a complex, matrixed environment

  10. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Advanced Degree: MBA, JD, PhD

  2. Background in communication and/or psychology

  3. Licensing: CFP, CFA, CPA, CTFA, ChFC, PFS, CIC

  4. Experience leading a business unit
