Bowery Residents Committee Assistant Director - 131 West 25th Street in Manhattan, New York
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists Program Director in management of day-to-day operation of facility and in development and implementation of program design, goals and services. Provides 24-hour phone/email on-call services. Oversees program in Program Director’s absence. Oversees Case Management, Housing, Aftercare, and Health departments. Supervises Clinical Coordinators and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners. Ensures compliance with funding and regulatory mandates. Provides emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed. Related duties as assigned.
HOURS:
Full-time position 37.5 hours per week
Monday – Friday; 9:00a – 5:30p
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master-level degree in psychology or social work preferred. LCSW/SIFI preferred. Significant experience in managing residential facilities and staff supervision required. Experience in fields of mental health and substance abuse required. Experience working with homeless population preferred. Demonstrable writing, communication, leadership, and team building skills a must. Computer proficiency required. Must also have ability to work in a high stress/high volume environment and be available to work overtime when needed. CPR training certification or willingness to take training class in CPR.
