Job Type: 1-2 full time or a few part time positions
Summary: Line Cooks are responsible for preparing food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing ingredients. Cooks food items by grilling, frying and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards. Their main duties include preparing and cooking food in a specific station, cleaning up prep areas and making sure the kitchen is stocked. Position is fast paced and individuals must be quick thinkers and excellent at following directions.
Responsibilities: -Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations. -Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients, weighing food items with a food scale, portioning ingredients, and using a meat slicer. -Plating prepared foods based on senior chef's guidance. -Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time. -Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts. -Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage. -Sweeping and mopping daily or more frequently if necessary. -Take out garbage and maintain cleanliness of garbage receptacle. -Complete other tasks as required.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements: -Must be 18 years of age -Strong organization and active listening skills. -The ability to work on your feet for at least 4 hours at a time, lift 50 pounds, climb stairs, and bend at the waist. -Works well under pressure and with a team
*Minimum starting wage of $20/hour! Will work around other job schedules whenever possible!
