Herkimer College's Career Services Center is seeking a part-time employment coach to facilitate students' professional development and transition into the workforce. The employment coach will meet individually with students in person or through Microsoft TEAMs to assess their job readiness and to develop an education and career plan. They will utilize the Handshake platform to refer students to employment and internship opportunities and to document student appointments. The employment coach will facilitate professional development workshops, classroom presentations and will disseminate career information through outreach tables across campus. The employment coach will assist with on-campus recruitment events and will maintain and expand employer partnerships. The employment coach will collect alumni data through regular telephone campaigns to administer the Graduate Follow-Up survey.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and the ability to work with a diverse student body required. Experience in career planning and student employment in a college setting or human resource management in a corporate setting preferred. Must possess excellent written communication and presentation skills.
Additional Information:
This is a 10-month part-time position working approximately 24 hours/week.
Hourly rate will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
