Glens Falls Hospital Clinical Nurse Manager - Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in Glens Falls, New York

The Impact You Can Make The Clinical Nurse Manager provides overall clinical and operational management during hours of operation. Strong leadership, managerial skills, communication and collaborative skills are critical in order to provide quality patient care and an environment that fosters staff growth and satisfaction. Education/Experience: * Graduation from a Registered Professional Nursing program * 3 years relevant clinical experience required * 5 years clinical experience preferred * Previous nursing management experience preferred * Bachelors Degree in Nursing or related field required * Masters Degree in Nursing or related field preferred Licenses/Certificates/Registrations: * Current license and registration to practice Registered Professional Nursing in New York State * Current BLS certification * Current ACLS and PALS certifications if required for service * Certification an Oncology Certified Nurse required within two years of employment. Skills and Abilities * * Ability to organize work, delegate effectively, and to assign, direct and evaluate the work of other employees * Proficient clinician in area of assignment * Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with nurses and other members of the interdisciplinary team * Basic understanding of principles of performance improvement and use of data to improve outcomes * Effective communication and conflict resolution skills * Computer Skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and unit/dept specific applications) * Communities We Serve Located in the foothills of the beautiful Adirondack mountains, Glens Falls is conveniently located a short drive away from the capital region and Lake George.
