JOB SUMMARY:
The Assistant Clinical Director is a part-time position. The Assistant Director will have primary responsibility for the Derner Internship Consortium, the program’s partially affiliated psychology internship, established in 2013 and accredited by APA in 2015 with a recent site visit in 2024. This individual will also assist the Director in the administration of other training activities.

SALARY INFORMATION:
In compliance with New York’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $30,000 - $32,850. Adelphi University considers factors such as departmental budgets, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. An annual base salary higher than the range may be warranted in circumstances where a candidate has demonstrable equivalent prior higher education experience at another University.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Coordinate recruitment and selection procedures for intern training positions annually
Maintain membership in American Psychological Association (APA), Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC), and the National Matching Service (NMS)
Consult with member sites to assure compliance with APA Standards of Accreditation and to coordinate training activities
Prepare and submit Annual Review Online (ARO) to APA
Prepare self-study and schedule site visit for re-accreditation
Availability to teach in the PhD Program
Collect distal and proximal data from current and prior interns
Maintaining intern records to meet APA standards
Site visits to internship and externship sites
Meet with site directors and interns regularly
Coordinate didactic trainings and peer supervision meetings
Assist the Director of the Center of Psychological Services as necessary
In addition this position provides the opportunity to teach in the doctoral program for additional compensation
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Clinical Psychology PhD or Psy.D. required
Licensed Clinical Psychologist in NY preferred
NY license eligible accepted.
