JOB SUMMARY:
Secretarial and administrative support to the Bridges to Adelphi administration, staff, faculty, and university administrators. Assist current, and potential new students with inquiries, problems, and general university policies and procedures.

SALARY INFORMATION:
In compliance with New York’s Pay Transparency Act, the salary for this union position is $42,508. Pre-employment assessment on Microsoft Word and/or Excel will be conducted.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Performs all secretarial duties for administration and staff.
Coordinate and arrange meetings for full time staff
Compose, organize, and maintain correspondence and communications with university administration and faculty, and Bridges Program staff, students, and parents
Operationally support administrative, graduate and undergraduate student staff
Supports part time administrative assistant
Manage office supplies/Cater Trax purchases for the Program, and ensure timely processing of purchase orders
Supports Outreach Coordinator in ordering additional purchases
Oversee and maintain records of student demographics, confidential records, and enrollment numbers on a continuous basis
Oversee and maintain records, and communicate with, potential new enrollees in the Bridges Program
Keeps confidentiality in regards to all HIPPA and FERPA laws.
Compile Program statistics and data, as requested
Supports in onboarding of student workers
Oversee and maintain graduate student staff payroll records and time sheets
Reminds student worker and hourly employees to submit time cards
Place work orders for repairs and housekeeping
Be the first point of contact, and screen all telephone calls and visitors
Assists in keeping track of potential incoming students for following semesters.
Assists in maintaining budget and payroll transaction forms
Ensures students and staff maintain scheduled in person support meetings
Tracks and notifies management team of coverage requests from student workers
Informs management of team of additional support requested by staff and students
Communicates with coordinators regarding student feedback and staff feedback
Performs other job related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrates ability to effectively interact with students under all conditions on a regular basis.
Demonstrates ability to type and use Microsoft Word and Excel proficiently.
Excellent organizational interpersonal, and communication skills are a must.
Experience in working/supporting neurodivergent individuals
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Minimum of two years general office and secretarial experience.
