Farmingdale State College Adjunct Assistant Professor - Architecture & Construction Management (MEP and Energy Systems) in Farmingdale, New York

Periodically, adjunct teaching positions become available in the Architecture & Construction Management department. The following course in MEP and Energy Systems is part of the Architectural Engineering Technology and Construction Management Engineering Technology programs:

Well qualified candidates will have experience in some or all of the following:
Course specific knowledge to teach in accordance with course learning objectives and student learning outcomes.
Knowledge of building systems (equipment and performance), green building technology and assemblies.
Knowledge of NFPA 220 Construction Types (Type I, Type II, Type III, Type IV, Type V)
Knowledge of prevailing building and energy codes used in Long Island jurisdictions
Knowledge of construction drawings, construction notes and specification organization, layers and preparation
Knowledge of design processes associated with architectural project planning, including schematic design, design development and construction document development

Job Requirements:
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
M.S Engineering and B.S. Engineering with certification by Professional Construction or MEP professional organization; or
B.S. Engineering with Engineering Registration (PE) license and construction or MEP project management experience.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Engineering Registration (PE) license or Certification by Professional Construction or MEP organization;
3 years of professional work experience and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
