SUNY Delhi seeks a dynamic, forward-thinking, and engaging faculty member to join the School of Applied Technologies starting in August for the Fall 2025 semester.
Applications are being accepted for a full-time, 10-month, tenure-track faculty member in the School of Applied Technologies and Architecture, teaching Plumbing and Heating Technology courses. The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of both domestic and commercial plumbing and heating systems. This should include a strong knowledge of electrical systems and controls used throughout the industry.
Faculty members in our Plumbing and Heating program are responsible for the following:
Program Development
Participate in annual systematic assessment of the program.
Participate in analyzing data and recommending curriculum and programmatic revisions where necessary.
Teaching Responsibilities
Provide evidence-based instruction following the policies set forth by the College
Provide hands-on, lab-based instruction on various construction methods, including job site safety and safe operation of tools and equipment
Post and keep regular office hours for the convenience of students
Participate in the assessment of course, student learning, and program outcomes
Incorporate student service learning opportunities
Advisement
Assist in advisement of students
Guide and counsel students toward personal and career development
Track student's completion of progression requirements
Academic & Organization Commitment
Serve on campus committees
Mentoring Adjunct Faculty
Participate in full and part-time faculty meetings
Participate in accreditation reviews and reports
Engage in the academic and organizational life of the college
Pursue scholarly interests
Job Requirements:
Associate's degree in a related field and 3 years of professional experience in a related field
High School Diploma and 10 years in a related field (would require the applicant to attain an Associate Degree within 6 years)
NYS driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field with three years of professional experience in a related field
Seven or more years of professional experience in a related field
Experience in teaching or working with young adults
Demonstrated ability to teach diverse populations
Understanding the value of civic engagement
Additional Information:
Salary $45,000 - $52,000
This is a 10-month academic year, tenure track position
