SUNY Delhi is currently accepting applications for in-person part-time adjunct faculty to lecture in our pre-licensure program.
Adjunct faculty positions are part-time
Filled on an as-needed basis, depending on course offerings, enrollment and specific department need
Current need for Fall 2022: NURS110 Nursing I on Tuesday and Thursday mornings
Duties may include:
Under the supervision of the Assistant Dean or designee, the adjunct faculty shall teach their assigned course(s) in accordance with approved course descriptions and class schedules, perform other related responsibilities, be available at reasonable times to confer with students outside of class, and maintain accurate student records
Each semester shall be for a maximum of sixteen (16) weeks (15 weeks of lecture + 1 week final exam)
Assist in developing and managing course syllabi while adhering to department and college standards
Delivering learning-centered instruction to undergraduate students
Assist in the growth and success of a diverse population of students through careful preparation of course materials, effective teaching methodologies, informed critical feedback on assignments and discussions
Develop and adapt curriculum incorporating current technologies into the clinical learning environment
Implementing school/campus academic and attendance policies
Pursuing knowledge of innovations and changes within subject area and field of practice
Ability to work effectively in a diverse community and meet the needs of diverse student populations
Job Requirements:
MSN or enrolled in MSN Program
Unencumbered NYS RN License
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior teaching experience
Prior teaching at the collegiate level
