Full time hours during class, full time or part time position after becoming certified.

What will you do as a C.N.A.? You will assist residents in performing activities of daily living. This requires assisting with maintaining and improving the resident’s quality of life to the highest functional level.

How does the CNA Apprenticeship work? Thompson Health believes in the progressive approach by providing a paid job experience where candidates can eventually transition into a Certified Nursing Assistant opportunity.

  • Individuals are hired as Associates of Thompson Health!

  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Daily assessments will be provided to advance the associate through the levels of apprenticeship: beginner, intermediate, and advanced.

  • It is required that the apprentice remain employed with Thompson Health for at least one year from certification.

  • Must be willing to provide excellent care to residents

  • Must have strong communication & customer service skills

  • Apprentices must be team-oriented, dependable, and honest

  • Must have the ability to handle unpleasant sights and odors

  • Must maintain a positive attitude

  • Must be empathetic, compassionate & courteous to residents

  • Must commit to working every other weekend and holiday after obtaining the certification.

Pay Rate during class: $16.50 per hour

Once Certified: $18.71 per hour
