The opportunity

Delaware North is hiring a Strategy Analyst to join our Enterprise Analytics team in Buffalo, New York. As a Strategic Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating key commercial aspects of the business. You will assess consumer buying behavior and market trends to match the right customer with the right product at the right time and price.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $68,300 - $92,200 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?

  • Engage with internal stakeholders, analyzing the business and providing strategic recommendations

  • Lead analysis efforts to identify opportunities within the business and broader category and consumer trends; leverage statistical methods and tools to understand core drivers of consumer behavior and business performance

  • Create and distribute recurring reports and dashboards, leveraging automation wherever possible

  • Ensure product outputs are error-free, accurate, and useful to internal clients

  • Partner with management and business representatives to understand, document, and validate requests

  • Solicit input and prepare recommendations for key program and function-related decisions

More about you

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required; MBA preferred

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in quantitative roles; experience hospitality field preferred

  • Experience with database and BI toolsets such as Tableau or Power BI

  • Experience in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, VBA, and SQL

  • Experience with statistical software such as SAS, Stata, SPSS, SAS, and R experience preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to translate between technical and business concepts and communicate to a broad variety of functional areas including Executive Leadership
