Position Title:Math Professor to the HEOP Program

Reports To:Academic Support Services Coordinator and HEOP Program
Date:2024 Summer Semester
Primary Purpose: This position is responsible for providing engaging, creative, and interactive instruction and coursework to HEOP pre-freshman students, during a 4-week summer program, who received a New York state high school diploma. The instruction provides developmental and remedial support designed to prepare students for college-level course work.
Job Duties:
Being available to teach a math course 5 days a week, Monday – Friday.
Providing a syllabus that includes topics being taught during the summer program.
Attending weekly staff meetings with the HEOP team and other professors from the program.
Providing weekly grades and behavioral reports during the staff meetings.
Providing a final exam and a final grade for the students at the end of the summer program.
Attending faculty orientation.
Start Date:July 10, 2024
End Date:August 2, 2024
Pay:$3000 stipend for the summer.
Hours:10 hours per week.
