Reporting to the Director, Talent Management, the Manager of Elderwood Staffing Solutions is responsible for the sourcing, hiring, scheduling and management of float pool staff including day to day operations of the float pool. This position helps facilitate the maximization of resources to achieve the highest levels of resident care, customer satisfaction, productivity, and economic goals for the organization. This is achieved by sourcing, recruiting and hiring critical nursing staff to help meet the daily fluctuating staffing needs across various facilities in the Post Acute Family of Companies Hybrid work opportunity with office located in the exciting Larkinville area with free parking!   • Source, recruit and hire candidates through multiple recruiting streams, including but not limited to, referrals, networking, job postings, resume searches, social media and reviewing applications.

  • In coordination with the Director of Talent Management, enter into contractual relationships with local institutions, service providers, staffing agencies and other similar agencies.

  • Ensure compliance requirements of Float Pool staff have been met prior to facility placement; monitor ongoing compliance requirements.

  • Assist in identifying staffing needs and adjust scheduling accordingly in response to fluctuating staffing levels.

  • Identify and implement technology solutions to manage scheduling requests and changes.

  • Approve and develop Float Pool schedules and communicate to designated facility point person(s) and Float Pool staff.

  • Owns the progressive disciplinary process, up to and including termination, for all float pool employees in accordance with company policy and procedure.

  • Oversee and supervise day to day operations, reacting effectively to unplanned circumstances.

  • Assist with daily facility staffing demands and challenges, assuring quality services.

  • Enact contingency plans as needed. Escalate and direct float staff during systems issues, disasters, etc.

  • Accurately identify hiring barriers, propose plans to resolve, escalate issues as needed and support staffing goals.

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition team regarding appropriate placement of candidates into part-time or full-time positions and ensure alignment/coordination with external agency staffing.

  • Conduct regular site visits to facilities to build knowledge of Elderwood Staffing Solutions and ensure regular training and education for Administrators, Human Resources, Hiring Managers, Schedulers, and other key staff.

  • Troubleshoot and escalate issues to management as appropriate to provide input for future process improvement.

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to support the ongoing operations of Elderwood Staffing Solutions.

  • Develop sourcing contacts and maintain relationships with colleges and local organizations to find and attract applicants.

  • Working in partnership with the Marketing team, identify, create and distribute appropriate internal and external recruitment collateral.

  • Participate in monthly operations and budget meetings with leadership; Review ongoing performance of results and take corrective actions when necessary.

  • Monitor market wage fluctuations for core Float Pool positions and work with Human Resources on salary and wage increase requests.

  • Support or lead special projects as assigned by the Director, Talent Management.

  • Travel (up to 30%) to various facilities, job fairs and college recruitment events required.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor, management staff or Administrator.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; business or health care concentration preferred plus six to eight years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 3 years of leadership experience within a health care setting required.

  • Previous experience in agency and/or executive search strongly preferred.

  • Previous experience in health care or related industry strongly preferred.

  • Ability to actively source candidates from job boards, associations, employee referral programs, social media, and internet searches.

  • Passion for networking and the ability to engage and convert passive talent.

  • Proven success in mentoring, developing and promoting staff members.

  • Experience in documenting policies, procedures and training guides.

  • Experience with payroll and scheduling, strongly preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills and customer service orientation.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, iCIMS or other ATS, Text Recruit, Linked-in, Indeed, and other similar recruitment platforms; scheduling software a plus.

  • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws.

  • Flexibility to travel locally and regionally required (up to 30%).
