FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Department of Behavioral Sciences at Kingsborough Community College seeks candidates to teach undergraduate courses within the Criminal Justice Program. The succesful candidate will have completed significant coursework, research and/or professional experience in the area of criminal justice, including law enforcement, corrections, re-entry and/or victim services. The ability to teach the Introduction to Criminal Justice course as well as one or more specialty courses such as Constitutional Law, American Legal Systems, Minorities in Criminal Justice and/or Policing. The candidate must be able to teach in-person at the main Kingsborough campus as well as possible satellite locations in Brooklyn. Innovative teaching and/or curriculum development a plus.

Performs teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree required, Ph.D. preferred.

For Adjunct Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor:

Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Also required is the ability to teach successfully.

For Adjunct Lecturer:

Bachelor's degree in area(s) of expertise, and the ability to teach successfully.

COMPENSATION

Adjunct Lecturer: $91.67 - $98.40 per hour

Adjunct Assistant Professor: $100.00 - $106.41 per hour

Adjunct Associate Professor: $108.33 - $118.45 per hour

Adjunct Professor: $112.50 - $130.49 per hour

Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
