GENERAL DUTIES

Performs highly-skilled laboratory functions and other technical duties in support of coursework.

• Sets up, maintains, and organizes student laboratories

• Assists students with setting up experiments and other learning exercises, and with the use of equipment and materials

• Maintains appropriate safety and hygiene standards

CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION

The Department of Art at Kingsborough Community College invites applications for an Adjunct College Laboratory Technician commencing fall 2023. The sucessful candidate will be expected to:

Repair easels, drafting desks and tables.

Organize and maintain storage rooms and shelving.

Keep sinks and other studio facilities functioning.

Coordinate with the office of Buildings and Grounds and Campus Planning and Design in the maintenance of electrical, plumbing and other physical aspects of each studio.

Oversee the Open Studios.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma with a minimum of four years related experience. Additional education may be used to meet the experience requirement: an Associate degree may be substituted for two years experience, and a Bachelor's degree may be substituted for four years experience.

COMPENSATION

$31.22 - $45.11 per hour.

Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
