Do you want to make a difference in our community and support young children to grow and thrive? Then this job is for YOU! The YMCA of Broome County is looking for energetic, creative and loving substitute teachers to join our team!
As a childcare substitute teacher, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for young children in the absence of their regular teacher. You will be expected to engage with children in activities that promote their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
Your duties will include:
Supervising and interacting with children
Implementing daily routines and schedules
Assisting with mealtime, diapering, and toileting needs
Maintaining a clean and organized classroom
Communicating with parents and other team members
Salary:
$15.00 per hour

Requirements
At least 18 years old
High School Diploma or GED
At least one year experience working with children under the age of 13

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
Familiarity with child development and behavior management techniques
