The Charles Evans Center (CEC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center, providing comprehensive medical, dental and mental health services. The center specializes in meeting the needs of adults and children with developmental disabilities. Our team based approach puts patients at the center of their care. Using the highest standard of medical care; we give the patients the tools they need to achieve their best health.
We are currently seeking an experienced Social Worker to provide services to Charles Evans Center Patients. The Center is a 22,000 square-foot healthcare and adult services center which enables CEC to provide the highest quality of care in an environment that reflects the respect and commitment we have for individuals with developmental disabilities. It’s designed to enhance CEC’s services under one roof and will promote the integration of medical and behavioral health disciplines to improve patient outcomes.
In this vital role, you will:
Conduct all aspects of psychotherapy with individuals, families, couples or groups according to caseload assigned
Attend supervisory sessions as scheduled and demonstrate motivation for learning and willingness to take direction
Attend weekly social work meetings arriving promptly, participating actively in the process and assuming responsibility for rotating presentations
Attend annual agency training for Quality Assurance including fire safety, mandated reporting of abuse and universal precautions
Initiate and maintain contact with other agency departments regarding your patients as necessary and appropriate in the service of quality treatment
We require:
Master’s Degree in Social Work
License for Social Work Certification by New York State
Current New York State Registration of Social Work license
Strong clinical experience required
