Alfred University Tenure-Track Assistant Professor, Communication Studies in Alfred, New York

TENURE-TRACK ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF PROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATION. The Division of Psychology & Communication Studies in the College of Arts & Sciences at Alfred University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning the fall semester of the 2025-2026 academic year. The salary for this position, $50,000-$55,000 annually.

Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in Communication focused on Public Relations, Strategic Communication, Organizational Communication, or an appropriate field (ABD considered) and have taught courses as the primary instructor in subjects such as: public relations, crisis communication, strategic communication, risk communication, health communication, sports communication, and/or corporate communication. 

Candidates should have a strong commitment to teaching and advising at the undergraduate level and establish a research program that can lead to publication in the candidate's interest area(s). Experience with advising student-run media is a plus. Typical teaching load is 12 credits per semester (3 courses @ 4 cr. each).
