University at Albany Part-Time French Instructor (Elementary I and Intermediate I) in Albany, New York

The University at Albany's Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures seeks a part-time instructor to teach two 3-credit sections of French 101 (Elementary I) and possibly French 221 (Intermediate I) Spring 2024, starting 1/17/24.
Responsibilities:
Preparation and delivery of class lectures, projects, and other student assignments
Designing instruction based on the appropriate learning objectives of each course
Holding weekly office hours
Attending French program meetings and events.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree and native or near-native fluency
Demonstrated ability to use online teaching tools
Applicants must demonstrate an ability to develop inclusive and equitable relationships within our diverse campus community
Applicants must demonstrate an ability to support diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and belonging relative to their role
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in university or college-level teaching at an American institution
Master's degree in French language and culture or related field
Experience in applying communicative approaches to language teaching, including task-based, proficiency-oriented instruction.
